Foldaway Classic Installation Instructions

Before you start...What you will need

Spirit level, Phillips head screwdriver,

Tape measure, Hacksaw.

The Foldaway Classic is made oversize to allow for non-standard door heights - however it can be easily cut down to fit.First, measure the height of your doorway. If adjustment is necessary remove the retaining screws from the bottom of each panel and cut the bottom of the door with a normal handsaw, a finer tooth will give a cleaner cut. Before cutting you will need to make a 30mm allowance (20mm for the track, 5mm for the gap between the top of the panels and the track and 5mm to ensure smooth operation when the door is hung.) i.e. to suit a 1980mm door opening the panels will need to be cut down to1950mm in length. Please Note :

The back edge and the closing channel will only require a 20mm allowance to be made.

Once all the panels have been cut replace the retaining screws.

1. Position the top channel centrally to the top of the doorway and put one screw in the centre hole (see fig 1). Do not put the rest of the screws in yet.

2. Rotate the top channel to allow you to slide the pins on the top of the door into the channel to hang the door (see fig 2).

3. Once the door is fully in the channel rotate the top channel back into the door frame and screw in the remaining screws to secure it in place (see fig 3).

4. Evenly space the 4 plastic securing lugs for the back edge of the door. Ensure they are aligned centrally to the top channel and vertically aligned to each other before screwing into place (use your spirit level for this) (see fig 4 & 4a).

5. Once secured slide the back edge of the door over the securing lugs and clip into place (see fig 5 & 5a).

6. Assemble and fit the handle by...a) Locating the 2 metal rods in the corresponding holes on one of the handles.b) Push the rods through the

pre-drilled holes on the door.c) Locating the metal rods in the corresponding holes on the remaining handle and push both handles together until tight. (see fig 6).

closing channel to the remaining door frame ensuring it is aligned centrally to the top channel and vertically upright (again, use your spirit level for this) (see fig 7).

8. Align the magnetic closure plates (fig 8) with the pre-fitted magnetic closures (fig 9) and screw into place in the closing channel. (fig 10).

That’s it your Foldaway Classic is fitted and ready to give years of maintenance free use.
