Clear line Roof Vent Installation Guide |
The roof vent is quite simple to do as long as you do it in the correct order. |
Pictures show a 6 x 9 greenhouse. |

Step 1 - Roof Installation Guide The roof vent parts are all in one bag the polycarbonate sheet is already cut to size for you. Push the bottom aluminium bar on to the sheet. |

Step 2 - Roof Installation Guide Now add the top bar to the top of the sheet the top bar is universal it can go on either way. On the bottom bar you will see two screw holes these must be on the inside. |

Step 3 - Roof Installation Guide You can now screw on the two side trims you must use a good quality Philips screw driver with the correct size head. Some 3 in 1 oil will also make the job easier (or cooking oil in no 3 in one available. |

Now insert the plastic side retaining strip in to the round section of the ridge beam.
Insert the screw into the plastic plug to prevent it from turning as its slid across the ridge bar. |

Now add the top bar to the top of the sheet the top bar is universal it can go on either way. On the bottom bar you will see two screw holes these must be on the inside. |

Step 6 - Roof Installation Guide With the roof vent in its place you can now add the final sheet of polycarbonate to the outer edge is you have one. With this in place slide in the joining bars please note these bars need three bolts each. Add the lower section of polycarbonate below the roof vent last. |

Step 7 - Roof Installation Guide Next slide two bolts into the joining bar and add the internal window catch hand tighten the bolts. Do not worry about the position at this stage as it can be adjusted later |

Step 8 - Roof Installation Guide Now add two more bolts to the joining section then tap the bar on to the polycarbonate sheet Slide up your middle bolts and fix the bracket into place. Check that the side bars and the roof vent do not clash then fix the top and bottom bolts. |

Step 9 - Roof Installation Guide Next you need to fix the other half on the widow latch screw in the two screws firmly. |

Step 10 - Roof Installation Guide Now slide the back half of the latch along until its in the closed position as shown then tighten the back two bolts to hold it in place. |

Step 11 - Roof Installation Guide now slide the The other plastic retaining plus along the channel in the ridge beam and tighten the screws to hold the roof vent in place.. |

Step 12 - Roof Installation Guide Make sure you add the bracing bars to the roof vent side and tighten all bolts |

Conclusion - Roof Installation Guide If you intend to use an automatic vent opener you should use lost head screws (not supplied) on the bottom of your roof vent to avoid snagging. |
