Clear line Greenhouse Installation Guide PART 1
When your new greenhouse arrives, the frame and the polycarbonate are all wrapped in a single box. You will be confronted with a pile of aluminium bars. At this stage do not worry about what each of the bars is for. Sort all the bars into to separate piles you will notice many of the bars are actually the same.
Always read the manufactures instructions before you start work as the specifications of the greenhouse do change from time to time.

Step 1 We have to start some where. So the first section to go for is the back wall of the greenhouse. You will have 8 angled bars as above 6 of which have no holes in them these bars are for the corners of the vertical walls and the gable edges. The two angled bars with the holes in them will be used in the door end. |
Step 2 In the bag of fittings there are some plastic parts these parts help fixing the angle of the gable end and they also act as a gutter stop end. Next you will need to slide the heads of two bolts in to each of the angle bars Then Insert the plastic section (part 86) in to the same slots in the aluminium angle bars (parts 14 + 25) as shown above. |
Step 3 Now place the angle support plate over the heads of the screws and screw the nuts on to hold them in place. Do not tighten the nuts and bolts at this stage. |
Step 4 You will find two H section bars with angled tops on them (parts 21 and 22). These will be fixed to the top angled bar with small flat brackets (parts 92). |
Step 5 Slide a bolt into both the angled bars and the H section. Line up the indent on the fixing bracket with the grove in the H section. |
Step 6 Now slide the angled tall section over the polycarbonate in to place. Do not worry at this stage if the polycarbonate drops out. Repeat this process on the opposite side of the gable, it helps if you lay the two sections on the ground in there intended positions/ The polycarbonate sheets are marked to show which side should point outwards. Care must be taken to ensure the sheets are installed the correct way. |
Step 7 Now on the top of the gable slide both sections together and insert two fixing bolts in to each. Cover with the gable fixing bracket part 17 and screw on the nuts. At this stage do not over tighten nuts and bolts. Now insert the centre section of polycarbonate in to the peak of the gable sheet E. |
Step 8 Next bit is a bit tricky, so if you can find a helping hand, do. You need to pull all the sheets together from the sides ensuring they are all in the grooves of the bars. Do not fix the lower centre sheet at this time. |
Step 9 Next you need to add a bracing bar to hold the frame together (part 29). The bars need to go in to the two sided angle fixing brackets. You must use the higher nuts and bolts as the lower ones will take the angled bracing bar. You also need to add the jointing H section to the back of the cross bar. |
Step 10 On the back of the bracing bar (part 29) where the short section of polycarbonate is, you need to bolt on a small joining section (part 23) to join in the last section of polycarbonate. You can now tighten all the nuts and bolts above the bracing bar. |
Step 11 Now slide the final polycarbonate sheet in to the panel ensure its in to the groove of the H section. |
Step 12 On the bottom edge of the polycarbonate sheets, peal back the protective cover and slide on the black plastic retaining strip (part numbers 40/41) |
Step 13 Now you can slide the bottom section of polycarbonate sheet drip in to place. Pull in gently from the two edges and slide the bottom bar in to place the weathered edge on the bar will be facing outwards when fitted to the base. (Part 20) |
Step 14 Note the plastic retaining strip has a groove in it. The bottom aluminium strip needs to slide into the plastic strip. The bar has slots on two ends and predrilled holes for the two centre bars. So start with the middle bolts first. |

Step 15 10 d & |

Conclusion to part 1 This panel is now complete we have opted to leave the polycarbonate cover on the sheets as we go to protect and keep then clean. Move this panel to one side but remember its very light so protect it from the wind and children |
